CSA air/air exchangers: compact and efficient
The CSA range of air/air exchangers is the most economical solution for cooling electrical cabinets when the ambient temperature is lower than the permissible temperature inside the cabinet.
Thanks to the rear and side outlets provided as standard for electrical connection, all models in the range can be installed inside or outside the cabinet.
The suction of internal air from the upper part of the cabinet, the counter-current flow and the high-efficiency exchange surface ensure optimal heat removal.
High heat exchange efficiency and compact dimensions: the CSA range of air/air exchangers has all the assets to meet very economical needs.

How do I select your model from our CSA air/air exchangers?
- Draw a vertical line representing the power to be dissipated Q up to the point of intersection with the desired temperature difference curve ΔT;
- Then draw a horizontal line from this point to the intersection with the surface curve of cabinet A (see below);
- Finally, draw a horizontal line to determine the required specific heat exchange power (R) and therefore the device to be installed.
In our example: Q = 1000 W x ΔT = 10 K x A = 5 m² => the required power is 72.5 W/K: the corresponding model is the CSA 80.
How to calculate the surface area of your cabinet (A)?
- Open cabinet on all sides: A = 1.8 x H x (W+D) + 1.4 x W x D
- Wall cabinet (back not open): A = 1.4 x W x (H+D) + 1.4 x H x D
- Beginning/end row cabinet (1 side not open): A = 1.4 x D x (H+W) + 1.8 x H x W
- Beginning/end row wall cabinet (back + 1 side not open): A = 1.4 x H x (D+W) + 1.4 x D x W
- Center open cabinet (2 sides not open): A = 1.8 x W x H + 1.4 x W x D + D x H
- Center wall cabinet (back + 2 sides not open): A = 1.4 x W x (H+D) + D x H
- Center wall cabinet with covered roof (back + 2 sides + roof not open): A = 1.4 x W x H + 0.7 x W x D + W x H
