Going further: design of our SGA gas dryers
EURODIFROID gas dryers ensure the absence of water in analyzers.
They operate on the principle of “direct expansion”: the gas to be cooled enters a heat exchanger-separator cooled by the evaporating refrigerant.
The water (or condensate) is then trapped in the lower part of the separator and can be discharged by gravity or a peristaltic pump.
The gas outlet temperature is regulated and maintained constant by a hot gas injection valve, ensuring a dew point of +1°C.
Each dryer can be configured with 1, 2, or 3 independent circuits.
Delivered ready for use, they are charged with CFC-free gas.
The cooling circuit is made of 316L stainless steel (“Low Carbon”), which offers significantly better resistance to corrosion and cracking.
