Going further: the "free-cooling" option for side-mounted air conditioners
Free-cooling is an option available on some of our industrial side-mounted air conditioners.
The principle is simple: the device is adapted to cool the room or cabinet by directly using outside air when its temperature is sufficiently low.
Thus, instead of activating the refrigeration circuit (specifically the compressor), the system circulates fresh outside air via fans and filters, which significantly reduces energy consumption. (See attached schematic diagrams: 1- Standard version, 2- With free-cooling option)
Of course, this operation relies on automatic regulation: as soon as the outside air is colder than the inside air, the free-cooling mode is activated; otherwise, the air conditioner operates in a conventional way, using the refrigeration circuit.
