More information about the CIT air conditioners
Designed with a “split” operation (indoor unit and outdoor unit), the CIT range of active air conditioners was designed to cool small computer bays, or technical racks, in confined environments.
It therefore regularly finds its “typical application” in a server installed in a confined space or in a small, un-air-conditioned room housing an electrical cabinet requiring reliable temperature control.
You will therefore find all the advantages of this type of mounting for your technical rack or bay :
- Compact size of the indoor unit;
- No internal heat transfer;
- Complete flexibility in outdoor unit installation;
- Simple and easy connection between indoor and outdoor units.
In addition, the CIT range of air conditioners allows for optimization of airflow inside the bay by a cold air intake at the back of the cabinet and a cold air blowing at the front (see below).
Going further: examples of drilling and airflow (rack/bay air conditioners)
Our CIT rack, bay or cabinet air conditioners are all installed in the same way:
- Drilling and cutting of the electrical cabinet
- Positioning the indoor unit on the electrical cabinet
(front/rear cutouts then fixing to the adapter frame) - Positioning the outdoor unit (maximum length: 25 linear meters)
- Refrigerant connection via ¾” copper piping
- Electrical connection via a single cable (7G2.5)
- Vaping and charging with R134a refrigerant (1.9 kg)
- Starting the system: cold air then circulates from top to bottom in the cabinet
And, on our CIT 30 or CIT 50 air conditioners, we also offer you the possibility of mounting with “back to front” air circulation in the cabinet (see diagram aside).
Our teams are available to advise you on the most effective product/assembly combination, and have all the preparation documents you may need at your disposal.
