// Interview with Ludovic CLERMONT, electrical assembly //
Ludovic is taking part in our ‘career interview’!
He joined Eurodifroid on an apprenticeship contract and has recently been given a permanent contract within our electrical preparation team.

Ludovic is always smiling.
And that smile reflects his journey at EURODIFROID: having joined the company on a work-study contract, Ludovic has demonstrated many fine qualities and unwavering enthusiasm.
Now confirmed in a permanent role as an electrical fitter in our Production team, he has agreed to an interview to tell us about his job and his view of the company.
EURODIFROID – Hello Ludovic. What was your career path before joining EURODIFROID?
Ludovic – After earning a Master’s degree in Information and Communication, I worked for about twenty years in sales, marketing, and customer relations.
I gained experience in various sectors (swimming pools, IT, tourism, opticians, etc.) and then decided to shift towards a more hands-on, practical career.
I enrolled in a work-study program with the AFPA (National Agency for Adult Vocational Training) in Maine-et-Loire, and that’s where Eurodifroid approached us with their job offers.
I initially completed a two-day immersion program in March 2025, and the following month, I was offered a work-study contract.
I officially joined the company by the end of March 2025 as an apprentice.
How did your integration go (reception, training, support…)?
My integration into the electrical team went well.
I am fortunate to have a team leader who was also my apprenticeship mentor for a year.
He is a very good teacher: it takes a lot of patience and perspective to train someone, allowing them time to make some mistakes and, gradually, helping them to increase their skills and efficiency.

Have you changed your position or responsibilities since you joined EURODIFROID?
At the end of my apprenticeship year, I was able to sign a permanent contract in the same department.
You could say that my duties have “evolved” more than “changed”: the job is the same as at the beginning but I work on more complex projects.
Which aspects of your job do you prefer, specifically?

I love everything about this job!
There is so much knowledge to learn.
The hands-on aspect of my new job is incredibly stimulating.
The nature of my work is very tangible: it’s truly satisfying to see the results once a project is finished.
What advice would you give to someone who wanted to do the same job?
Surround yourself with the right people.
And in particular, know how to recognize a skilled and patient mentor who understands that you’re a beginner.
Also, get as much practice as possible: it’s crucial in a manual trade.

Do you ever meet with clients or receive client feedback?
Yes, it can happen, during the morning briefings: our managers sometimes give us some information on specific machines or on improvements or points of vigilance.
We also sometimes encounter clients who come to our site to audit our processes or to carry out machine tests with their own equipment.
Have you noticed any organizational or operational changes at EURODIFROID recently?

Yes, we have been informed of the creation of a Supply Chain Director position, which will coordinate Logistics and Production activities.
The aim is to create a more regular link between these activities and the other departments of the company (Compliance, Purchasing, Engineering…).
We also had training on site safety, including fire risk training.
Some of my colleagues have also received new training in first aid (SST) or Category 2 brazing.
How would you describe the atmosphere at EURODIFROID?
The atmosphere at EURODIFROID has put my vision of industrial work into perspective: I find here what I was looking for, namely a mix of support, stimulation and concrete action!
