An industrial air conditioner at the service of prestigious glassware!

Here on one of our test benches (on the right side of the photo), a KR 35 air conditioner (on the left in the photo) destined for Noizay, in Indre-et-Loire, for the famous Dumas Glassworks.
A true benchmark for us because this company, founded in 1948, not only operates on a material very sensitive to temperature variations (glass) but has also specialized in particularly demanding scientific and technical application areas (alcoholometers, aerometers, thermometers, analytical devices, etc.).
It goes without saying that precision is essential in this fine company, which has been awarded the EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) label and which has mastered techniques such as acid etching, mercury gauging, sandblasting, hot and cold working… and this on different types of glass (borosilicate, soda-lime, quartz).
Thank you for choosing EURODIFROID to control the temperature of your manufacturing process!
The device
This air conditioner includes the following:
- A cooling capacity of 3.5 kW at 20°C outlet air temperature and 32°C ambient air temperature;
- A temperature control range of 10–30°C;
- An ambient temperature range of 0–55°C;
- An evaporator air filter (fresh air) and a condenser air filter;
- An EXTT kit for outdoor installation;
- A 3 kW electric heating element in the ventilation unit;
- And a low-pressure limiting valve (using hot gas injection) to prevent frost buildup.
In short: an excellent compactness/efficiency ratio!
Our testing facilities
It is essential for manufacturers of industrial chillers and air conditioners to rigorously test their equipment before shipment to guarantee its reliability, performance, and compliance.
This equipment is often critical to customers’ operations: a failure can lead to significant losses, production downtime, or safety risks. Testing verifies that the system functions correctly under various conditions, meets applicable standards, and achieves its advertised performance.
They also help detect potential component or assembly defects before delivery, thus avoiding costly on-site interventions. For the customer, this translates into a faster and smoother commissioning process.
Finally, these controls reinforce our credibility as a designer and manufacturer: customer trust is earned machine after machine, by consistently ensuring a high level of requirements in terms of quality, safety and durability of equipment.
So it appears that this pictures is also an opportunity to tell you a little more about our testing tools.
- Test benches: these are used to simulate the customer process to verify the proper functioning of our devices. We have about twenty test benches allowing us to test between 20 and 30 devices per week.
Designed and manufactured in-house, they adapt completely to the system being tested: water cooler, oil cooler, air conditioner, heat exchanger, hydraulic skid, thermoregulator…; - Measuring instruments: temperature, flow rate, noise level, humidity, thermal imaging camera… our technicians have all the necessary tools to master each of their settings. These tools are regularly recalibrated to remain perfectly calibrated;
- Data acquisition unit: this very complete instrument is capable of recording voltages, flow rates, temperatures… over any test duration, and allows us to supplement our test reports with complete data on different usage cycles;
- Hot environment: to test certain devices in extreme conditions (exposure to high heat, reduced integration space, etc.), we can simulate environments up to 65°C, in a room or cabinet, in order to test the resistance and efficiency of our machines, in difficult conditions.
It should also be noted that our team has recently been strengthened to include a “Test Monitoring Manager” position: the objective is to design a computer program for monitoring our devices, which will automate data acquisition (continuous recording, reporting of alerts, remote adjustments, etc.), which will allow us to provide much richer information to our customers, capitalize on more testing hours and thus improve both our product designs and our load capacity.
There is no room for chance: in both cooling and air conditioning, customer satisfaction demands precise and reliable results.
