// Interview with Olivier LENFANT, EURODIFROID purchasing assistant //
Olivier, a valuable asset in our supply chain, gives us a nice interview to explain his role in the company.

In an industrial context where competitiveness and cost control are major issues, the purchasing function plays a strategic role.
At the heart of this dynamic, the purchasing assistant is an essential link.
A true liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and customers, Olivier combines organizational skills, responsiveness, and interpersonal skills.
His daily work as a Purchasing Assistant isn’t limited to processing orders: he anticipates needs, monitors deadlines, streamlines communication, and helps build trust with partners.
During this interview, he will explain that this role requires both rigor and empathy, because behind every process are people and human issues.
EURODIFROID – Hello Olivier.
How long have you been working in the Purchasing department at EURODIFROID?
Olivier – I joined the company in July 2023: that’s a little over two years now. I had just arrived from London, after a long professional experience in the United Kingdom.
How did your recruitment process go? What were your first impressions?
The interviews went well.
Alexandre TRAINEAU (General Manager) and Daniella DOUGE (Purchaser) were very open and understanding, especially considering that the goal was to fully reintegrate into the French language, lifestyle, and work environment.
In your opinion, what qualities are required to work in a “Purchasing” department like EURODIFROID?
There are quite a few things to master on a daily basis, but I would say that above all you have to be accurate, flexible and dynamic.
Accurate, because our job is technically demanding.
We work on potentially dangerous equipment (electricity, gas, hydraulic pressure, etc.), with sometimes expensive and fragile components, and for customers who require reliability and rigor: once our engineers have approved a design and plans, I absolutely must adhere to the specifications they have provided.
But you also have to know how to remain flexible: when a supplier lets us down or a client changes their needs, my job is to react quickly and offer solutions to the teams, with the best cost/time ratio.

Being dynamic? It’s first and foremost a personality trait that suits me good, but it fits well with the pace of the company, where projects come one after the other at high speed!
We regularly welcome visitors to the site: do you ever meet Customers or Suppliers?
Yes, we meet with our suppliers regularly.
It’s important for customers and suppliers to see our working methods, the quality and attention to detail of each department, and also to understand the pace of the production stages.
Everything moves very quickly here, and there’s very little room for error.
How would you describe the working atmosphere in the company?
Since I started at EURODIFROID, I’ve always experienced a supportive atmosphere.
Of course, as in any company, there are sometimes moments of friction: a small grain of sand in a machine, even a well-oiled one, can lead to questions, delays, or corrective actions.
But over the past year, I’ve seen a marked improvement in communication between all departments. As a result, the atmosphere is much more supportive, relationships more human, and work more efficient.
To conclude this interview, what advice would you give to a new arrival to facilitate their integration?

Take the time to understand what you are doing!
Because a chiller or an industrial air conditioner, depending on the client’s specific needs, can be a complicated device to design, manufacture, and adjust…
EURODIFROID therefore involves many steps and stress to navigate: if we move too quickly, we put the entire design and production chain in difficulty.
But on the contrary, with a little patience and trust, integration goes smoothly, respecting everyone’s responsibilities, and we end up understanding that it’s by helping each other that we overcome difficulties.
Why interview our employees?
An interview with an Eurodifroid employee offers readers a concrete and human perspective on the company.
Through their experience, projects, and advice, they share on-the-ground expertise that is often difficult to convey otherwise. This helps our clients, partners, and potential candidates for employment opportunities within our teams to better understand the solutions we offer, the technical challenges we face, and how the company addresses them.
This type of content also aims to build trust by highlighting the skills and commitment of our teams to our clients. The testimonials from these employees can also provide practical ideas and valuable feedback for optimizing your own installations or projects.
Ultimately, these interviews reflect our commitments and the values that drive every Eurodifroid employee and contribute to the development of the quality of our products and services.
