CLC 10 air-conditionner production for pizza vending machines

While the COVID-19 pandemic boosted the pizza vending machine market, the underlying trend was already well established and has only grown since then.


Among manufacturers in this sector, ADIAL is an expert in the design and marketing of vending kiosks.

The partnership between ADIAL and EURODIFROID began with a two-pronged challenge:

  • Completely redesign the kiosk's refrigerated section to develop a plug-and-play solution (thus avoiding lengthy and costly refrigeration installations);
  • And support a ramp-up by industrializing the manufacturing process (standardizing the required models as much as possible and scheduling annual production batches).

A few years later, nearly 1,500 CLC 10 air conditioners were manufactured (up to 60 units produced in some months!) and commissioned across France.


As these units can be exposed to harsh conditions, their design is designed to be as efficient and robust as possible, including:

  • Robust and compact stainless steel frames, available in "right" or "left" versions upon request;
  • Suction is at the bottom and discharge is at the top;
  • A refrigeration circuit with an R1234yf gas compressor (HFO category with low GWP, therefore much less harmful to the environment than its previous equivalents, R134a or R515b) with a thermostatic expansion valve;
  • A copper-tube evaporator with aluminum fins, with Hérésite treatment (an anti-corrosion coating made from high-strength resins with chemical inertness);
  • One axial fan regulated by a manual inverter;
  • One hot gas injection valve (which limits low pressure and reduces compressor power while maintaining the setpoint);
  • Or, a dual HP/LP pressure switch with automatic reset.

Furthermore, we are constantly improving our manufacturing process: monitoring non-conformities, improving assembly jigs, securing production lines, etc.
