Cooling solution for stamping process

EURODIFROID carried out a project addressing the need for production of chilled water from a stamping site.

This solution includes a complete air cooler , a hydraulic skid 500 liters with plate heat exchanger.

technical constraints

The client process must be cooled via a non -glycol water but the aerorefrigerant system being installed outside , it requires frost protection and therefore must be supplied with glycol water .


The addition of a heat exchanger with brazed plates , allows to separate the two circuits: 1 glycol water circuit for the outdoor equipments (AEC), and one process water circuit, with simple water for inside  equipment, to feed client machines.

Aerorefrigerant

EURODIFROID selection is focused on a cooling tower equipped with a water spray system which allows working with the wet bulb temperature (21°C) instead of the ambient temperature of the site.


Mounting V for vertical air flow
This configuration is the only one that allows using the water spray system on the battery.
Water spray system
the system comprises a manifold with nozzles allows spraying water in the form of small droplets on the exchange batteries. The evaporation of these droplets helps to increase the thermal power dissipation. This system is activated during the heat of peaks by opening a solenoid valve.
A pressurized water supply system ( approx. 5 to 6 bar) and the nozzles is expected to permit operation of the adiabatic system.

Hydraulic skid

Pump group mounted faired on complete basis and autonomous with 500 liter tank, electrical cabinet with Control / Command and plate heat exchanger Stainless Alloy 316 brazed copper ensuring the exchange between the brine (anti frost protection) and water process. This group can be installed outdoors .
